Skyy John May Be The Most Influential Bartender In America

If you love Girls, Booze and Partying then Skyy John and his Tipsy Bartender series are for you. Skyy John has taken his movement global by teaching people how to make cool drinks in the presence of hot girls on his YouTube Channel.

PBH2 sat down with Skyy to discuss the inception of the Tipsy Girl, his hot selling book, the importance of reaching 1 million YouTube subscribers and more:

So how did Tipsy Bartender come to pass? Lets discuss the name and branding of the channel some.

SJ: I was a bartender at the time and decided to make a channel dedicated to liquor. I don’t consider myself a mixologist. I don’t enjoy making the classic drinks, I prefer to make the fun party drinks.

Where did the idea of the “Tipsy Girl” come from? How important is their role to the show?

SJ: Well I have always done stuff on YouTube with girls. The girls are an integral part of what I do. I think I have found a great mesh with the girls, myself and making the drinks. The balance of those things create a great environment for the show.

So you wrote a book awhile back. How did that come to pass?

SJ: We created a book titled “I’m Having A Girl Over” and it was a blast. Its a more laid back version of what we do on the show in regards to drinks but still fun.

The book was also self-published. I just wanted to step into that world and see what it would feel like. If we go that route again through it will be more aggressive in regards to the stuff we do on the show.

Are the girls professional bartenders?

SJ: Throughout the show we have had two or three girls that were actual bartenders. It’s not a requirement to be a bartender, it’s more of a personality thing that gets you on the show.

Once you lost a tipsy girl due to her visa expiring. You were once an international student as well correct?

SJ: Yes I was an international student. I actually won my green card in a lottery. If it wasn’t for that I would’ve been back in the Bahamas. My time was virtually up and I got lucky.
